The Boeing Company is currently hiring for Embedded Software
Engineers (Associate/Experienced/Senior) to join the Phantom Works
Mission Systems Software team located in Berkeley, MO. This
position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space &
Security (BDS) business organization.
You will work in a collaborative team environment helping to
develop real-time software solutions, utilize simulations and
emulations, and develop software processes in order to meet
customer capabilities. This will include developing software and
software tests throughout all phases of the software development
life cycle (requirements, architecture, implementation, and
verification). The software engineer will develop software in a
Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) DevSecOps
software build pipeline using an agile methodology focused on code
quality, security and automation

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
Linux
Rust
Containers (Docker and Kubernetes)
CMake
Git
CI/CD DevSecOps (Jira, Gitlab, Ansible, & Artifactory)
MSOSA (UML, SysML)
Automated Testing, SAST, and DAST (Google Test, Cucumber, Coverity,
and SonarQube)
Typical Education/Experience:
Associate (Level 2)
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical
education from an accredited course of study in engineering,
computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor)
and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an
equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g.
Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although
not required, accreditation standard.
Experienced (Level 3)
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical
education from an accredited course of study in engineering,
computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor)
and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an
equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g.
PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET
accreditation is the preferred, although not required,
accreditation standard.
Senior (Level 4)
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical
education from an accredited course of study in engineering,
computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor)
and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an
equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g.
PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work
experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred,
although not required, accreditation standard.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well

Summary Pay Range Associate (Level 2): $90,100 - $121,900
Summary Pay Range Experienced (Level 3): $110,500 - $149,500
Summary Pay Range Senior (Level 4): $132,600 - $179,400
