Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Step Down Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours for 3-12s Experience: 2 years required License: Valid State License required at time of submission Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH required Must-Have: - Experience with titration of vasopressors, sedation medication, insulin drips, trach vents, art lines, external pacemakers, and chest tubes - Recent bedside experience within the last 6 months - Experience with EPIC charting system Job Description: - The Step Down Unit requires a nurse to handle night shifts with patient ratios of 1:4. - Every other weekend work is required; for night shift, this may be Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday depending on rotation. - Candidates should have experience in handling vents, titration of pressors, and insulin drips. - The position requires commuting to a facility every week with a commitment of 36 hours. - Staff may float within their scope to meet facility needs, and will also float within the hospital and to affiliate hospitals nearby. - Standard travelers must reside outside of a 75-mile radius and must wait a year before returning to the facility. - Compliance and orientation modules are to be completed pre-start, requiring up to 16 hours of module work. - All clinicians are required to work in navy scrubs. - The facility operates on EPIC charting; experience with EPIC is necessary. - Flu vaccine is required, with exemptions allowed for medical or religious reasons.
