Overview
Missouri Baptist Medical Center, an acute care hospital in St.
Louis County, offers a full continuum of medical and surgical
services, including heart care, cancer, women and infants, breast
health, gastrointestinal, orthopedic, stroke, therapy, wound and
pain management services. The hospital has a 24-hour adult
emergency department and cares for pediatric patients at a separate
emergency department in collaboration with St. Louis Children's
Hospital. Missouri Baptist is the first and only hospital in St.
Louis County to be named a Magnet - hospital by the American Nurses
Credentialing Center (ANCC). The prestigious designation is the
highest credential a health care organization can receive for
nursing excellence and quality patient care. This recognition has
been accomplished by less than nine percent of hospitals
nationwide. Additionally, U.S. News & World Report ranked the
hospital #2 in the St. Louis metro area. The Inpatient Pharmacy at
Missouri Baptist Medical Center consists of a Central Pharmacy
including an ISO Class 5 Clean Room for sterile product preparation
and satellite pharmacies in the Operating Room, the Cancer/Infusion
Center, and satellites or decentralized pharmacists on several
inpatient floors. The pharmacy department supports robust
Medication Therapy Services for inventory management and Pyxis ES
for decentral medication storage, an electronic medical record, and
smart pump technology with dose error reduction software. The
Pharmacy program at MoBap also administers an ASHP-accredited
pharmacy practice residency program.
Preferred Qualifications
Role PurposeAssess, monitor, initiate and modify medication use
according to patient condition and age specific criteria. Ensure
prompt and accurate medication preparation and dispensing. Prevent,
direct and resolve medication-related issues. Supervise and direct
supportive personnel. Counsel and educate to promote optimal drug
therapy. Direct and assist in the procurement, storage,
distribution and disposal of medications. Responsibilities

Pay Details: $50.34 - $70.27 / hour (Salary or hourly rate is based
