qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Saint Louis, Missouri, 63128 Pay
Information $1,912 per week About The Position Job Title:
Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Surgical/Neuro Intensive Care
Unit (ICU) Job Duration: 8-13 weeks Shift: Nights, 19:00-07:30
Guaranteed Hours: 36 or 48 weekly Experience: Minimum of 1 year in
ICU, inpatient only License: Current RN License meeting eligibility
in the state Certifications: - BLS and ACLS (American Heart
Association only) - NIHSS (Preferred) - TNCC (Preferred) Must-Have:
- Experience in ICU care - Familiarity with bedside telemetry,
ventilators, bipap/cpap, ventriculostomy, arterial lines, central
lines, arctic sun, CRRT, Zoll, and EPIC Job Description: - Perform
direct patient care activities across all age groups, including
assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. - Monitor and
coordinate patient care activities to optimize patient care and
comfort. - Utilize the nursing process to deliver care for patients
post trauma, surgical interventions, and medical comorbidities. -
Maintain professional accountability for the provision of patient
care and evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by other
direct caregivers. - Coordinate patient care with ancillary
departments. - Maintain patient rights and confidentiality. - Abide
by the established guidelines of nursing practice, the state Nurse
Practice Act, the facility's Code of Conduct, Mission and Values,
and Service Standards. - Stand and walk most of the time on duty,
meeting unit-specific physical demands. - Engage in significant
amounts of bending, stooping, as well as lifting and turning
patients with assistance. - Adhere to dress code: Black scrubs;
avoid unacceptable attire such as hats, non-approved
jackets/sweatshirts, and use of air pods. - Flexibility required to
work differing schedules, shifts, days of the week, or work
frequency according to patient care requirements. - Work in an
environment with high-risk exposure to blood and body fluids. Note:
Flu vaccination is required during November 1 - April 1 with no
exceptions. Travel positions offer flexible guaranteed hours and
potential consideration for blocked scheduling based on
