Places to Work."Overview: The home care Home Health Aide provides
aide services through home visits to patients served by Mercy Home
Health under the direction of a registered nurse. The coworker must
drive to patient homes, follow the patient's plan of care, keep
supervisor informed of activities and attend meetings and
educational programs as requested or required. The Home Health Aide
must document patient information in the medical record for care
provided. Completes other duties as assigned. Perform duties and
responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values,
and Mercy Service Standards.Qualifications:
- QualificationsEducation: Completion of a certified nursing
assistant course OR have a certified nursing assistant certificate
from the state of practice OR have acceptable experience as
approved by the director of home care services.Licensure: Current
valid Driver's License.Experience: A qualified home health aide
must have completed 75 hours of training, with at least 16 hours
devoted to supervised practical training OR have one year of
experience in hospital, nursing home, or home care OR have
acceptable experience as approved by the director of home care
services.Certifications: BLS certification. Current valid driver's
license and ability to drive.Other: Ability to read and communicate
effectively in English. Basic computer skills. Preferred
Education:Preferred Licensure:Preferred Experience: Home health
experience preferred.Preferred Certifications:Preferred Other:
Additional languages preferred.IMPORTANT ONBOARDING NOTE - Requires
additional State search be performed (to include fingerprints) if
hire has not resided in the state of practice for the prior 5
years.Physical Requirements:• Position requires the ability to
push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.• Position
requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.•
Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist,
