$7,500 Sign On Bonus -Full Time - 40 hours a weekMonday - Friday with rotating evening and weekend call shifts0600-1430 -This position has a 30 minute on call radius from zip code 63128. - - -****We are seeking an experienced Scrub Registered Nurse to join our Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) team. This role offers a unique opportunity for professional growth and skill development in a challenging yet rewarding environment.***** - - - -Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) is a high-functioning specialized surgical department for patients requiring various surgical repairs or corrections pertaining to any element of the heart and all associated structures functioning with the heart, including internal chambers of the heart, the lungs, and the aorta. - This unit services all ages from young adult to geriatric populations, and procedures will carry all anesthesia classifications, ranging from routine-elective to hyperacute emergent salvage patients. - Various procedures incurred in CVOR include, but are not limited to, coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG)(60%), aortic valve replacement (AVR)(18%), mitral valve replacement and complex repair (10%), Maze and/or atrial fibrillation procedures (5%), complex ascending and aortic arch dissection and aneurysm repairs including Bentall (5%), and any other procedures including combined complex intra-cardiac procedures (2%). - CVOR nurses will provide standby for hybrid OR procedures including transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) and intra-cardiac pacemaker lead extractions.CVOR nurses are involved in preoperative patient preparation performing critical patient assessments. - Nurse's primary roles are exemplified in the actual operating room suites assisting the surgeon, anesthesiologist, perfusionist, and other nursing roles. - CVOR nurses will engage in interdepartmental communication with various other departments including but not limited to laboratory, blood bank and pathology, radiology, same-day surgery, PACU and CVICU, cath lab, and nursing administration.

• 2 state-of-the-art cardiovascular operating room suites with ultra-modern Stryker video-integration and monitors
• Each room equipped with 5-4k HD monitors, including 1 60" wall-mounted monitor in each room dedicated to an in-light cameral for total room viewing
• State-of-the-art electronic charting via EPIC Optime
• Room RN staffing with 3 assigned roles:
  • RN circulator
  • RN surgical scrub nurse
  • RN 2nd assistant
  • Close working relationship with cardiovascular surgeons, anesthesiologists, and perfusionists.
  • Standard shift is 0600-1430, Monday-Friday, utilizing flex shifting and on-call shifts with 95% of caseload occurring 6am-6pm. - If weekly hours fall short of 40, availability for vascular or thoracic cases, or option to LC with or without PTO.

    • Education: Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
    • Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
    • Mandatory: 1-2 years Operating Room experience
