Mid-Level Production Engineering Managers to lead a diverse team of
engineers and first-level managers on the Air Proprietary 1 Program
in Berkeley, MO. As one of the most cutting-edge aerospace programs
in the industry, the Air Proprietary 1 Program is at the forefront
of innovation and technology, pushing the boundaries of what is
possible in aerospace engineering. You will play a key role in
defining, stabilizing, and improving the production system by
fostering collaboration across multiple engineering disciplines and
implementing best practices.As a Production Engineering Manager,
you will acquire and allocate resources for departmental
activities, provide technical management of suppliers, and lead
initiatives aimed at process improvement. Your ability to develop
and maintain strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, and
team members will be essential in driving operational excellence
and achieving strategic goals. You will also be responsible for
mentoring and motivating your team, ensuring their professional
growth and high performance in a fast-paced aerospace
environment.Position Responsibilities:
- Manage employees and first-level managers performing
engineering and technical activities in Production
Engineering.
- Develop and execute integrated departmental plans, policies,
and procedures.
- Create and lead a team to execute tooling and model-based
instruction (MBI) release curves.
- Provide input on departmental business and technical
strategies, goals, and objectives.
- Acquire resources for department activities and provide
technical management of suppliers.
- Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance production
efficiency and quality.
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers,
stakeholders, and team members.
- Oversee and approve technical approaches, products, and
processes.
- Manage, develop, and motivate employees and first-level
managers to achieve operational excellence.

(Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study
in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing
engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data
science, or computer science.
- 3+ years of experience leading or managing engineering
teams.
- Experience in assembly, automation, and/or production
support.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP)
clearance. Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Master's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Experience in the aerospace industry, particularly with
military or defense programs.
- Knowledge of Boeing's organizational processes, program plans,
and policies.
- Demonstrated ability in budget management and business process
improvement.
- Familiarity with critical path methodology and project
leadership principles.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to synthesize complex data
into actionable insights.
- Experience with structural repair principles and systems
thinking.
- Existing Valid US Security Clearance.
- Excellent communications skills, verbal and written.
- Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of management,
customers, and partners.
- Ability to build a safe environment of inclusion, transparency,
and trust.
- Leadership skills to lead and influence positive outcomes.
- Previous experience in leading, mentoring, and engaging
individuals and teams.
- Experience providing active mentorship and career
guidance.
