About the Role:

As a CBRE Events Manager, you will be responsible for the meetings, events & conference services. This job is part of the Events job function. They are responsible for the creation, management, and execution of events for internal and external clients.

What You'll Do:

  • Plan and coordinate small to large events within a non-profit organization, many of which will take place outside of the US.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues that may arise in planning events
  • Serve as the primary contact for clients regarding meeting and event forecasts and strategies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve client inquiries and concerns effectively.
  • Maintain the department budget and approve purchase orders for event supplies.
  • Implement enhancements for event success, including improvements to processes, procedures, and systems.
  • Ensure operations and vendors comply with location requirements, especially for international events.
  • Track department SLAs, KPIs, and benchmarks, monitoring performance data to identify solutions for any gaps.
  • Apply knowledge of event planning and management, ensuring integration with other departments to achieve organizational objectives.
  • This role requires a proactive approach to event planning and a commitment to excellence in delivering impactful experiences for stakeholders.

    What You'll Need:

    • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
    • Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.
    • Leadership skills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline and department.
    • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
    • Extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.
    • Advanced math skills. Ability to calculate difficult figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
