St. Patrick Center provides opportunities for self-sufficiency and dignity to people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. Individuals and families build permanent, positive change in their lives through safe and affordable housing, sound mental and physical health, and employment and financial stability.Working collaboratively with individuals, businesses, government and other service providers, St. Patrick Center will end chronic homelessness in the St. Louis region through Housing First, an evidence-based practice that tells us to remove barriers, do intake and assessment early, move people into housing and offer them support to achieve their goals.Job SummarySt. Patrick Center, a ministry of Catholic Charities, is hiring a Grant Per Diem Director. The director will oversee the Transition in Place and Bridge bed program, as well as the off-site programs of Harmony Village and HERO. We are looking for someone familiar with the barriers and challenges that unhoused veterans face in our community. You will bring a passion and drive to support our veteran clients with programs and partnerships designed to lower existing barriers and provide lasting change. The director is responsible for training new program staff, ensuring accurate documentation, assessments, program reporting, and overseeing program contracts. The role requires frequent collaboration with Veterans Affairs, programs within St. Patrick Center, and other local social services agencies. The ideal candidate is a leader with strong communication skills, empathy, and experience in program management. The salary range is $60,000 to $70,000 a year. The core working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.Job Responsibilities

  • Overview of the HERO Program to ensure the program contract goals are met.
  • Supervise HERO manager, Harmony Village Site Manager, and GPD case managers.
  • Ensure all required monthly, quarterly, and annual reports are turned in for all GPD programs.
  • Compile statistics for monthly program reports for 20 TIP and 7 BRIDGE beds.
  • Inform employers and community groups about the services provided at St. Patrick Center.
  • Assist HERO manager with day-to-day operations in the department to ensure good customer service is provided.
  • Meet weekly with HERO manager to ensure grant and budget compliance, and other program issues that may need addressed.
  • Startup TIP and BRIDGE programs and ensure that all VA guidelines are followed, and that Intensive case management is provided to each Veteran.
  • Conduct comprehensive, ongoing assessments of program clients' mental illness, physical health, housing status and other relevant needs, where appropriate in all GPD programs.
  • Meet with DMH monthly to ensure compliance with budget and guidelines.
  • Act as liaison and consult with VA for grant compliance, eligibility guidelines, etc.
  • Collaborate with other members of the team during daily and weekly staff meetings.
  • Oversee treatment planning groups to ensure mental health, recovery and wellness are an integral part of the treatment process.
  • Use a trauma-informed approach to daily decision making and programming.
  • Ability to implement housing first and harm reduction programming.
  • Build and maintain relationships with landlords and property managers.
  • Understand and assess Life Safety Codes in buildings and properties.
  • Other duties as assigned.Job Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree in social work, counseling, or a related field from an accredited university.
    • Understanding of mental illness and substance use.
    • Understanding of strengths-based case management/wrap-around services.
    • Knowledge and understanding of community agencies.
    • Ability to work in a high-paced organization.
    • Understanding of the Housing First Model and Trauma Informed Care.
    • Knowledge of federal, state, and agency HIPAA policies.Skills Required for Success in Job
      • Driver's license (MO residents require a Class E).

        • Oversees the daily workflow of the GPD, Harmony Village, and HERO Programs.
        • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
        • Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with agency policy.Preferred Qualifications
