A Day In The Life
Reporting directly to HUS Segment Controller, this senior-level accounting position will assure adherence to Hubbell Accounting Policies, Procedures, and SOX Controls. The position will also work with local BU Controllers develop, implement, and improve process controls. This high-profile role will also work with multiple-levels of leadership to resolve issues and provide guidance on complex accounting matters.

What will help you thrive in this role?
* Manage Business Unit (BU) Controller positions - provide guidance on complex accounting questions and help them with career development

* Work side-by-side with HUS Segment Controller and Director of Technical Accounting to assure adherence to Hubbell Policies and Procedures

* Work with local BU Controllers and Leadership to develop, implement, and improve process controls

* Able to work hands on within the leadership team and communicate effectively up the chain of command

* Assure adherence to SOX controls that demonstrates a strong control environment

* Work with business to come up with mitigation procedures for any deficiencies

* Prepare presentations for quarterly reporting to internal (Controllership) and external (PWC) resources

* Work with External Auditors (PWC) on quarterly deliverables

* Serve as HUS representative on various enterprise-wide initiatives as assigned by the HUS Segment Controller

* Special projects as assigned - i.e. SAP implementations, acquisition integration, etc



EDUCATION:



* Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance

* Masters Degree in Business, a plus

* CPA or CMA Certification, a plus



PREFERRED TRAINING:



* 10+ years of general accounting experience

* 5+ years Controller experience in a manufacturing environment

* Proficient in MS Office - Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

* SAP, OneStream, Power BI experience, significant plus
